I'm really excited to share with you that my family of 2 is growing to 3. I have always known that I wanted to be a father, and now I'm stoked to start that journey. My wife Bailey is amazing and has endured that I am a nerd at heart. When we found out that we were pregnant she decided that she wanted me to make an announcement video. Of course I took this to mean produce a short film and make something ridiculous. (I'm still unsure if she expected this)

While we were on vacation in Bend, Oregon, we were lucky to catch a beautiful sunset on a snowy golf course. This was all shot in about 45 minutes to an hour. (Which probably explains the lack of character development and plot) Everything was shot on the Sony FS5 with the Atomos Shogun in RAW DCI 4K with various Canon Lenses. I spent most of the time using the Freefly Movi M5 to create cinematic motion to the shots with a few Tripod shots thrown in.

The film was edited in Adobe Premiere and After Effect with a bit of help from Andrew Kramer and Video Co-Pilot's Saber Plugin. If you want to start working in after effects, spend a dark year in front of your computer watching his tutorials. They are awesome and eventually worth your time.

I have to thank my awesome wife for enduring my silliness and allowing me to do this.
